Temperature and moisture and fertility drive microbial activity. The microbial activity is what drives how fast our soil biodegradable plastics break down.
LABORATORY TESTED ADVANCED MATERIALS
Tested according to ASTM D5988 Soil Biodegradable to complete biodegradation in 90 days after disintegration. Disintegration times can be up to 1 year depending on microbial activity and environment. Tested according to ASTM D6691 Marine Biodegradable to 91% biodegradation in 451 days after disintegration; this is similar to cellulose. Disintegration times can vary depending on the microbial activity and environment.
